2. Articles must contain links to online sources as a method of reference.
3. Stories must have at least three independent sources.
4. Finished articles must incorporate multimedia content and must contain at least one photo. Sources for media (URLs) must be placed at the bottom of the article.
5. Articles must be observant of the rules of copyright (no plagiarism, sources must be credited).
6. Contestants will compose their articles on Microsoft Word or other word processing programs.
7. Finished articles will be rendered to PDF and will be uploaded to http://lagunapresscon2010.blogspot.com/
PDFs will also be available online for judging purposes).
8. Contestants will be given one hour to research and write their articles. A maximum of 30 minutes will be given for contestants to lay-out their articles and incorporate media.
9. Articles in Word format will be submitted to contest administrators/proctors, who will render documents as PDF and will upload them to the website. Judging will be done based on PDFs & uploaded articles.
